Hope you have good eyesight - the native fonts on a wuxga are very small. You may may want to search this site for comments about the various screens available on the 6000D.

first off how much did that system come out too?
second, whats with the 2.0 processor? Im sure you wont need that much, especially since i believe you arent a gamer, or at least i hope not, because the 64 video card wont really allow you to play any new games.

I have a desk top at home for the very very few times I play Doom, I'm really not a gamer. My job purchased the machine for me and it was just under $3K. The 2.0 processor, well I just picked the fastest unit I could get for the price.

    Thanks for the help.

I was able to drop the processor to 1.86 and increase the video memory to 128. The savings got me a leather case and a 80GB HD, cool. I guess they dropped their prices since I configured the order.

I guess it may not matter to you too much since you said your work was paying for it, but if you use coupon codes you can get $750 off or more. If you save money using a coupon then you can get that much more stuff :D

I sure wish I could use coupons, fortunately or unfortunately Dell is under state contract with us so we can't use coupons. I think we've ordered over $700K from them this month alone.

Purchased my Dell last week and it arrives tomorrow, how cool is that, I get to play with it over the holiday. Sorry, do I sound excited???? :D

I really like Dell's tracking system, it tells you all the stages the computer has gone through up to delivery.
