Well I bit the bullet and ordered a Vostro 1500. £740.50 got me the following ...

    2.5Ghz C2D (T9300), 4GB 667Mhz RAM, 15.4" 1440x900 (WXGA+) Screen w/ TrueLife, 200GB 7200RPM HDD, GeForce 8600M GT 256MB, 8x DVD+/-RW, Wireless a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3yr NBD on-site warrenty, 9 cell battery, nylon case and a Dell USB keyboard (not related to the laptop at all, I just needed a new keyboard hehe).

I was tempted by the 15.4" XPS however I never play any games so the difference in the graphics cards was pointless for me and the price difference was more than I am willing to pay for just the looks of the system. I will be using it as a desktop replacement 90% of the time, I just need an easy to more PC more than a laptop :)

Should be delivered by March 28th but I am hoping for a little sooner ;)

Hey millermagic. Yeah I went for the Vostro as the build quality is excellent in all the ones I seen/used. It is a little bit too chunky but I can live with that for the price :)

Chunky is the correct word, but it seems well built and durable. Nice Specs BTW
