    i am a student who needs a notebook for internet, music and media, powerpoint presentations,chatting, and surfing the internet. nothing too major, but the notebook needs to do all of this quickly. will the following suit my needs?

    That should fit your needs perfectly, although I would have sprung for a little bit more hard drive space and the dedicated GPU. Also, did you use a coupon code (from the top of the site)?

    no i didnt, it was just a really good deal and it came with alot of free things so i bought it

    Yeah, the current deal they are running, or at least were running, combined with 12% school got me about 950 off my 6000 which came out to about 1330:
