Not a bad deal at all...

Only thing I don't like is:

    Estimated Ship Date: 09/05/2007

which she said was due to the actual demand for computers in general exceeding what they had expected...the most generic bs I've ever heard...but exactly what I expected to hear

    Also,

does anybody have any experience as far as canceling and/or returning XPS products? I'm not planning on doing either..but I'm just curious

I'd imagine the cancelling/returning would be the same as any other system... what specifically are you wondering?

That's not a bad price on the system, either. I'd recommend a RAM upgrade when you get it, but other than that, congrats on the new notebook.

I work at best buy..so I get stuff like memory upgrades pretty cheap..as soon as I get the laptop..the memory it comes with is going on ebay and im throwin in 2 gigs...

    btw..I am going to the 4lb M1330 from a 7lb E1505...its gonna be amazing =)

Don't need the power of the E1505, as I just spend over 2k on a desktop I built.... so this laptop is strictly for basic mobile computing.

You will still probably do better on memory online than at Bestbuy. Newegg is going to be the cheapest, I'd bet.

He works at BestBuy, so he should be able to get it for wholesale pricing + 10% I believe it is. Pretty good deal. Hop over to the long M1330 thread and complain with us while you wait. ;)

Congrats on your new M1330 order. I too just recently ordered mine and am in the queue. I'm trying to hold out until at least August 15th before I start getting antsy - we'll see if I last that long. :)

Congrats and welcome to the back of the line. That ship date is about right. Now you can join us in the 1330 thread and rant about everything from customer service, delays, backorders, and future upgrades.
