They don't yet due to what they say is lack of driver support. Well this is what Alienware said...which dell owns...so i guess you could say dell said it too.

I would suggest get regular LCD with CCFL. not LED one. I have the LED one and im not too happy with it. A friend of mine has CCFL and i compared them both, its impossible to tell difference, honestly. the CCFL comes with thicker LCD housing over the LED. the LED is little too fragile. I have already ordered one with CCFL and this LED one is going back. Other than that, the M1330 is great laptop. And one I ordered is for my wife. I got a M1530 in production for myself as well.

As far as 64 bit goes, there is a great thread in the Dell section covering how to install 64 bit and what drivers you need. Seems like all of the elements are covered and you don't have to loose anything. And the 8600 is only available on the 1530 and op ordered the 1330 :).

Well, I know that this post was for the OP, but it made my day.

I have a two week old XPS m1330, and love it! NO problems with Vista, it runs great, stays cool and has been totally problem free.

The ONLY thing I keep asking myself is if I should have gone with the LED screen. The screen I have now, CCFL, looks fabulous and blows away my old HP's screen. I just keep wondering, not having seen the LED screen in the flesh, if I shouldn't have gotten one.

One thing that pushed me towards the standard CCFL screen is the 2MP camera you get with the standard screen, which is replaced by a .3 MP camera if you opt for the LED screen. I use Skype alot, and was concerned how the video camera would look at only .3MP.

    Anyways, thanks!

I got 2.0mp with the LED?

Well thats what it says, not sure if that's what it comes with.

I've seen the LED VS normal I seem to like the LED more?

But yea, good cause.. don't mind if its a bit pricey..

Is it possible to get the 8600M GT on a M1330? I just ordered mine yesterday on Dell's website and there was no 8600M GT option.

no option for me either, or else I would have got it.

Only game I ever play is Ragnarok, and this graphics card is 100000x capable of running that old school 90's MMO.

    so yea. Im happy.

My sentiments exactly! I had an HP DV2000Z before as well, and the screen, while very good, is not as nice as the CCFL on my M1330.

thats strange... I've compared my LED screen to the CCFL screens on the M1330 at best buy and staples, and my LED screen blows those 2 out of the water. It looks WAYYYYY better IMO... I'm not really too sure if you guys are just trying to convince urself or what, but LED is the way to go.

Hello. I had both LED and CCFL for M1330. I find that I like CCFL better in matter of build quality. I noticed that with LED, the LID is more thinner naturally and its more flexible, easier to break. I didn't like that. with CCFL, the lid is more rigid. At time when I had LED, my friend has CCFL, I put them together, you CANNOT tell the difference PERIOD. So, I am very satisfied with CCFL version of M1330 for my wife. She's more pleased.
