Well, I want to say thank you for everyone who has helped me here. The list is too long to mention. I finally decided to buy the Dell since the deals were pretty good this week. I got it for 1,608.00 out the door, it was originally 1730, but I got a little deal calling a dell rep.
Specs are as follows:
17' WUXGA Truelife
T2400 1.83 ghz core duo
512 mb ram (newegg upgrade)
60 GB 7200 rpm drive
7900 GS
DVD/CD Burner
Sound blaster audio for XPS1710
Intel Pro wireless
Xp Media center w/ reinstallation
6 Cell battery
4 year warranty w/ complete care
Now, I will want to do a complete review of it if the members/mods would like it. I have a good camera to take pics too. I will try to take requests such as extra pictures, performance related, etc. Also, what do you guys recommend in terms of software to download, reformatting? What programs should I get pretty much and how should I tweak it. The cool thing is the estimated ship date is a day before my bday =)
Seriously though, thank you all for your help. I will have to contact someone about a review on it from here now.

Is this after taxes and in USD?
I just configured the same thing online for $1524 before taxes & then there's still a $50 MIR.
Anyway, congrats on your purchase! -
It's 1608 after taxes and sef. I configured it for 1608 before taxes and 1730 after, maybe you have a slightly different config. Anyway, I got them to go from 1730 to 1608 out the door. I also have a 50 dollar MIR so it actually is 1558 out the door.
