    cool. Woulda gone with a 7200 rpm drive though, as I'm guessin you want as much performance as possible (go 7800 and all). fyi, the soundblaster stuff is only software. Otherwise, same config as I woulda got if i were gettin the e1705 (picked up the e1505 a few days ago b/c of portability). Congrats!

    Nice configuration. Good price, too, with the 7800 and WUXGA.

    The 7200 would be good, true, but Dell charges so much for that upgrade, I think it makes sense to take the 5400 and upgrade later if there's a lag. Then you can sell the 5400 or keep it for backup.

    That was my thinking there, and it's also the reason I didn't get the T2500 processor. The cost jump between the parts I got and the next step up were outrageous.

    Also, didn't know the Soundblaster was just software, but it was only 23 bucks so I don't mind having it on there.
