Well, it's done. Had to take advantage of that 25% deal while it lasted -- I will go mad if there's a better deal in the next few weeks!

I opted for the 1.8 Ghz processor and 1 GB or Ram forgoing certain extras the a combo DVD/RW drive as I'm not big into burning CDs/DVDs.

The 25% promo saved me over $500 with a final price of about $1500. Again, hopefully there won't be some super pre-Christmas deal of like 33% off or another save $700 instantly.

I'll give some feedback when I receive it.

    Hey everyone,

I bought a 700m for my girlfriend and as a more mobile friendly PC when they first came out and I was able to get Dell to honor the 10% off offer and 20% off coupon at that time. Since my Dad and I were in the market for new Desktop Replacement notebooks and seriously considering the 9200's, I figured I try again especially since we are purchasing 2. Well it took one extra phone call but I found another salesperson who gave me the 15% off and the 25% off coupon for a whopping 36% off of retail after all was said and done. We each got:

    1.8 Dothan
    512MB 1 Stick
    60GB 7200rpm
    17" WXGA
    Intel 2200g Wireless
    8x DVD+-RW Dual Writer
1 year At Home Warranty with Accidental Protection

= $1523.92 before tax and Free shipping!
Thats another tough deal to beat for a brand new system that has yet to be released, in my own opinion! I have had zero problems with my 700m, so Im hoping this system is just as good! Can't wait to get mine... shipping Dec. 7th!

Anyway, just thought Id let you know so if anyone buys multiple systems, or maybe if people trust each other enough to do group buys, you might be able to save an extra chunk of change!

P.S. My dad got an extra year warranty on his for only $40 more! I kicked myself for not doing that, but I'll end up flipping this over by next year anyway when the newest latest system comes out.
