I can understand why I bought my Dell laptop but a desktop?? Damn dude.. that sucks.

I spent $1100 on parts for my rig back in Decemeber and I thought that was cutting it too much.

    Mike.

I'm getting sick and tired of people on this forum claiming dell offered them "special price", "special deal", "one in a life-time discounts".

Let me tell you, Dell does that all the time. Today dell claims $400 off on Latitude priced at $1600 or above. The next day dell advertised $450 off on Latitude priced at $1800. Bull.

Dell changes their notebooks/desktops prices every day. I simply don't believe in their "limited offers" anymore.

Are you telling me when a furniture store claims, "Their prices will never go this low again!", they are not telling the truth?

Yes, unless they're liquidating. Or closing business. Same.

It's all false advertising to get more customers, and for marketing purposes. Profits is all businesses see. You don't expect dell to give you discounts without doing their math properly, do you?

the price was starting @ $1699. i only added the 2.4GHz C2D and the sound card. i will be adding the ram my self for cheaper price. they said 2GB is +$100 but on ebay it only cost $30 for 1 GB. I dont really need a good GPU right so the 8600 GTS would be fine. i will get the 8800s when their price drop. for the 12 months no interest, u would need to be approve for how many credits they would give u.

Desktop parts are cheaper than laptop parts and we can upgrade em easily.
later this year, they will have an upgrade kit of the intel core quad, nvidia i680 chipset for a discount price to xps 710 owners.

my HP laptop dv2000t is about 8 months old and i wana throw it away lol. i would never buy HP product again. and i lost my tast for laptops.

I'm sorry to cast doubts on your purchase, but that's very expensive for the components you got. That case better be amazing. ;)
