    Welcome to the club! :D The only problem I see is Norton. It is just as bad if not worse then Vista when it come to slowing your system to a crawl! I would suggest Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 or Nod32 (have not used it but heard good things)

    I work on laptops and rebuild them as a hobby. No need for it ;) I haven't paid for accidental damage protection or any extended warranty in 13 years ;)

    you should try configuring the base Vostro 1500 and using the 25% mystery coupon

    You should get $896+tax that way. well assuming you take 512mb ram and upgrade yourself

    I just took the 1 GB by default. I have a free stick of 1 GB ram :)

    you do know that 1GB in your laptop is 2 512mb dimms right? and the laptop only have 2 dimms total

    i'm looking at an identical computer(well 512mb instead of 1gb) for $883.5+tax

    did you config the base Vostro 1500 model? or did you configure the smart-package model?
