Hey everyone, I just bought the Dell 1420 w/
T7500
128 MB GeForce
160 GB 7200
1400 x 900 Screen
2GB ram
2.0 MP Web Cam
DvDr
Intel Wireless N
Bluetooth
Black Case
All for $1180 SHIPPED. Did I do the right thing? I was going to get the Dv2500T but this is cheaper and better build quality because of the casing, more rugged. I went to best buy and look at the Verve version of the dv2500t and the thing screamed "hey look at me" like it's attention seeking or something. Although I did like the fact that it had lightscribe + fingerprint reader...
Dv2500T however would have been 1350 Shipped so it would have been more expensive for less calibre parts.
So in the end, you guys think I did the right thing?

good choice i myself was thinking of going with hp but the dv6500 but in the end purcahsed the 1520
-
definitely the right choice.
HPs have bad quality and even look cheap. These new dells, despite having problems with noise, have better build quality. -
good to know. it seems like everyone on these forums are buying these laptops.
you guys with your 256 MB GForce....tsk tsk tsk...
Yeah I opted for a smaller machine just for portability's sake. And really the only game i'll be playing on this machine would be starcraft 2 so it should run ok. -
starcraft 2 better run ok on it... thats what ill be playing too, lol
-
you made the best choice
-
but......
what if I could get all this... (HP DV2500T) for only 1170?+tax)
