Hey everyone, I just bought the Dell 1420 w/

    T7500
    128 MB GeForce
    160 GB 7200
    1400 x 900 Screen
    2GB ram
    2.0 MP Web Cam
    DvDr
    Intel Wireless N
    Bluetooth
    Black Case

All for $1180 SHIPPED. Did I do the right thing? I was going to get the Dv2500T but this is cheaper and better build quality because of the casing, more rugged. I went to best buy and look at the Verve version of the dv2500t and the thing screamed "hey look at me" like it's attention seeking or something. Although I did like the fact that it had lightscribe + fingerprint reader...

Dv2500T however would have been 1350 Shipped so it would have been more expensive for less calibre parts.

So in the end, you guys think I did the right thing?

    definitely the right choice.

HPs have bad quality and even look cheap. These new dells, despite having problems with noise, have better build quality.

good to know. it seems like everyone on these forums are buying these laptops.
you guys with your 256 MB GForce....tsk tsk tsk... :)
Yeah I opted for a smaller machine just for portability's sake. And really the only game i'll be playing on this machine would be starcraft 2 so it should run ok.
