    Dell Studio 1558

    Core i5 430
    4GB Ram
    Integrated Intel graphics
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    Black chainlink finish
    DVD burner

1080p monitor is a must unless you need large text. The 1080p screen is perfectly fine for all use. I thought it might be too hard to read, but actually find it to be perfect given how crisp the image is.

Build quality is good, not as good as the XPS but still decent. At work I use a Lenovo T500 that has a magnesium skeleton under the lid and it very solidly built.

The Studio 1558 is pretty speedy so far, I'll have to try some games or benchmarks to put it through the paces.

It hasn't gotten really hot yet, but admittedly I haven't worked it hard yet either.

Hope you enjoy your new laptop! How is the build quality compared to the Inspiron line, if you know?
