After a month of delliberation (pun intended) I just recieved my 1520. The specs for the system are in my sig.

Over all I was very please with dell and the entire process. I orginally ordered from the kiosk in the mall although 2 days later there was a better coupon then the one I originally got (325 off). I cancelled my order and reordered with a new coupon. My ESD was 10-22, I ordered on 10-11, I recieved an email on saturday the 13th leting me know that my system had shipped!! just 2 days after ordering it. My system then arrived this morning! (I had 3-5 day shipping) This far exceeded my expecations!

I power on the system to find that my screen looked spectacular. I'm not sure how to tell what I got (if anyone can tell me) frankly I could careless its not grainy there isn't a single dead or stuck pixel and no light bleeding.... its perfect! Once again this exceeded my expecations!

My only complaint thus far is the cpu whine although the bluetooth radio fix has appeared to resolve my problem.

When I get home from work I'm going to do a full reinstall with a copy of ultimate I have at home, Any advice? or anything I should know?

I got it for 1084. I actually got 1gb of ram and put 2gb myself saved me about 75$. I'm not so sure you'll get a much better deal then the 325 off its usually 1 or the other as far as I know.

Oh and for what its worth my screen is an LG, I'm feeling rather lucky today :) All around great experience with dell so far. This thing looks just as good as my friend led mbp!!

i can't believe you can't connect wirelessly like that. i don't even have wireless yet (or cable at my house for that matter) and i'm online fine. I've been using one of my neighbor's wireless internet. idk who it is and the houses arent that close together. but i've been online since i got the system with only one bar showing up and under very poor or poor signal strength.

just don't tell my neighbor lol.

i also ordered on thursday and recieved the laptop today. i am extremely amazed at the speed with which i got it.

Then you are so lucky! Mine is NEXT to the router, so it's not a question of it being far! It won't stay connected, no matter what! :(

LMAO reading that made my day :) My college apartment doesn't have wireless and I'm always trying to "steal" from someone nearby but I can't, everything is password protected!!! I currently have a 1550. I ordered an 1720 2 days ago, anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

Well, I got the thing today so I think so! Unless I set up something badly with the wireless connection, but I got an XPS 1330 connecting fine which we got like 2 weeks ago. So right now I don't know. I am on the same laptop, now wired. At least this works! I hope I don't have to return it though, that will be such a pain to ship to the US.

I had the problem with not being able to hold a connection for very long to. It happened to just be my router and interent service provider combination. I have shaw high speed interent and was using a linksys router. When I took back the router to see if the router had a problem i got told that shaw and linksys dont work well together. So I bought a D-Link and not had a problem since.

Hm, what I was just saying in the thread with my problem is I am on now and I seem to be on fine, and it must have been the connection with the router? I would hope it is so and not the router.
