I just love this machine! It's small but it does everything I need it to and it's running great despite having to have the LCD screen replaced and upgraded. It booted the first time after the upgrade and looked awesome! So now I have 1366x768 and LOVE it! I haven't posted in awhile but for those of you who remember how upset I was when the screen got cracked, I wanted to update you and let you all know it's all good now! :D

I am so glad this forum is here for us to chat about our lappys from Dell. :D Or should I say our Lappy's and netbooks! LOL! ;)

That's good to hear, I've always liked the Dell Mini netbooks over the cheapo Acers. And I suppose that is 1 benefit for 16:9 is significantly higher resolution for netbooks (my 900HA had 1024x600).

That's what I upgraded from, so it worked out for the best. I love this machine and though it's only got one GB of ram it's pretty decent. :D

You know you could upgrade your ram to 2gb pretty cheap these days.

    $25-30 tops

I know, just been putting it off, still considering my desktop has 2GB of ram and flies around the net I am thinking of getting a 2BG chip for it. :D It runs pretty decently though, I don't use office on it though, I use the RTF doc editor and do pretty well with that, and youtube videos do well for the most part. I really have enjoyed having this nifty lil computer since I treated myself this January. I think a 13" might be even better but 15.6" might be too big. LOL Last year I never would have said that. :D

Isn't terribly difficult to get to the RAM. ALOT better than the 219 Acer netbook we sell where you have to pry off the keyboard to pop off the bottom cover to get to the RAM lol.

Thanks for the link to the doc on how to do this Tsunade Hime. I will see about getting it done soon, I really would like to see how much better it runs with it on one more GB of ram. :D

Hey Pamster, remember me? I referred you to the mini forum. I had a Mini 9 and adding an additional gig of RAM really made it faster. It's definitely worth doing.

I definitely remember you MoInSTL! How have you been? I totally am doing the upgrade in a few months, gotta get some dental work done and save up for even more. I love the mini forum, lots of people there know their stuff. :D I am so excited just thinking about what this baby will do with 2 gb of ram! :D It's gonna happen, just not right now, soon though. :D
