Does anyone know why the detachable wire + plug that connects to the power brick is shaped so badly? I mean, it plugs in but the plug redirects the wire back in the opposite direction. You have to twist the wire backwards in order to keep it going in the right direction, which I find really odd.
Why did they design it like this?

It is designed for the wires to be able to be wrapped up around the brick easily. I prefer this design over the traditional power brick myself.

So they can laugh and heckle everytime they see a thread like this

Yeah, that's annoying, but it has to do with the fact that it's a stretchy rubber. If it was hard rubber, it wouldn't collect dust but it also wouldn't connect as easily to the peg.

Yeah, but it doesn't bother me. Anything with soft rubber will collect dust like that.
