    Err...I did not get you...do you mean to ask whether we can keep the light turned ON all the time? If that is the question, yes you can, in fact I keep mine turned ON 23/7 even in broad daylight.

    I have 3 years warranty and my support guy is great human.
    So if I have problem with the lights I will just give a call to him!

    Right, thanks for that.

    Due to bloatwear fears I did a clean install of Vista32, and did not install Dell MediaDirect, or, as far as I can see on this system, Quickset. No issues so far till I want the Keyboard to be lit up all the time.

    I've found the necessary driver at Dell Support, haven't installed yet, now just fretting about is it really necessary, is it bloatware, is there an alternative?
