it feels like something is blocking my eject key (and sometimes my L-shift key). Nothing that I know have is fallen through the keyboard...

I'm guessing I can't take off keys from a laptop keyboard. Is the best course of action to call dell? I don't really want to send away my laptop, but I may have no choice...

    It's a Studio 1555 if this matters

Just call dell. They'll probably ship you a new keyboard to install yourself.

Did you spill food / soda in it? Usually (not always) you can pop keys off without damage.

No, nothing spilled. I've been anal about that since I once spilled pop on my keyboard years ago (on another computer) and ruined the numberpad.

I think I will call dell. I just wanted to see if there was some quickfix or something, as this is my first laptop

    Thanks guys.

The keys do pop off. They're a bit more of a pain to pop back on, but it's definitely doable. I've done it several times.

If you can't fix it, though, then Dell will replace it under warranty. If you're comfortable with it, you probably get them to just send you a keyboard and do the job yourself.
