    In my old Dell laptop, you just bought another HD mount kit and HD, and you could swap in and out with only 1 screw. No screw if you just locked it in and were ok with it.

    Why did they get rid of ths?!?

    only certain dell notebooks ever had this feature, usually the latitudes. they still do.

    they still use the one screw method... it can't get much easier than that. I think the latitudes have a lock and pull system but only on the removable media

    Ah, my old I8000 has a lockable hd that just pulls out the side. Didn't see one my my g/f lattitude, but I guess thats only 1 XD
