hi frds, please tell me what shall i do now.. i am from chennai..

i ordered dell xps L502x on 21-4-11, order confirmed on 25-4-11 & EDD given on 11-5-11.

order status update:
26-4-11 order released for manufacturing
27-4-11 work in progress
3-5-11 manufacturing build complete & EDD shifted to 10-5-11

upto 9-5-11 afternoon it stays in manufacturing build complete on 9-5-11 night it shows in transit and EDD is again got back to 11-5-11. but on 10-5-11 the status again went to manufacturing build complete & for EDD it is mentioned as to be advised. when i called to automated customer care on 10-5-11 i was told that my EDD is 11-5-11 and on 11-5-11 it tells that " your order required customer or customs (not sure about it) carriage to assist you" and in website it still stays in manufacturing build complete.. plz help..

 

@ Arun Prasad Did you check the bluedart site? What did it say there?

 

@ crhysus : it shows check your reference no.. like that.. no info.. i am totally confused.. very bad response from customer care too.. plz some one help me to track my lappy. & you plz give some review of ur lappy.. i have same configuration as urs except RAM - 6GB & 500GB 7200 RPM HDD..

@ Arun Prasad Did you call Dell customer care or your sales rep?
My XPS 15 got delayed by almost 2 months for various reasons, but I kept in touch with my sales rep who was very helpful. So I'd suggest you call your Dell sales rep.
Also, all Dell laptops go through customs clearance once they are shipped from the factory. Takes a couple of days after which it will reflect on the bluedart site and then is delivered latest by the next working day.

As for a review of my XPS 15, its amazing. A little big, expecially compared to my old XPS M1530 but no problem to carry around. Can't find a sleeve that fits though. Performance is great. Been playing every game I can get my hands on with FHD on high settings no problems. It cuts through super high res images on photoshop like a hot knife through butter. The screen and sound really are that good so believe all the hype. Have abandoned my creative 2.1 speakers since I got the XPS 15.
Had some issues with Nvidia and Optimus till I installed the latest driver from the Nvidia site which fixed everything. Still having issues pairing and establishing a connection via Bluetooth. Also AVG detects the Bluetooth driver as a threat.
All in all I love my XPS. Odds are you will too. And don't worry about it being a lil late gettin to you. Is well worth the wait. I know, I waited 2 months.

 

my dell sales representative not at all picking my call & no response to my mail also.. what shall i do?

Laptop came home on 19th!
Took 8 days! EDD was 21-11-11

Me very happy. Awesome quality, no problems at all, and sound is mind blowing
