Hi. I'm planning on getting a Dell LCD and thinking about getting the optional sound bar that hooks up to the bottom of the monitor. Does anyone have any experience with these? Just wondering how they sound. The Web site says they're 10-watt speakers, but the one (that's IT) review I found said they weren't very good.

    Thanks,
    Howie

I think you are better off with a decent pair of speakers.

Yeah, I agree. They are OK for windows sounds and casual listening. If you want good quality better to get decent external speakers with subwoofers.

Ya I would go with a good set of external speakers if I were you. You can even find portable external speakers which you can carry around without too much trouble. Do some research and you won't be dissapointed.

The Soundbars are nice if you want to save space, but they are quite lacking in sound, with no bass at all.

I agree - get a nice pair of external speakers.

one of my friends bought the speakers for his lcd. its cool and all, but the music that played from it sounds like its coming from a pair of laptop speakers. so it doesnt have much bass. i prefer some external speakers. some really cheap ones out there are better than the lcd speakers.
