Does anyone know the specs for the 12.1? Like response time? Or contrast ratio? I am guessing something like 16 ms? 400:1? But can't seem to find out anywhere...

    Thanks for any help!

I found out there a way using the Device Manager. My plug and play monitor says "AOU". I also read anyone who purchased the Truelife screen package got an AOU monitor.

Edit: A/V Communication package, not Truelife.

There is no truelife screen package. All 1210's have a truelife screen so its standard. I think you meant to say that anyone who has the A/V Communication package has the AUO screen.

What exactly is the "A/V Communication package"? I have the AOU screen and I never added that to my notebook? Is it the cam/mic?

The package comes with the camera and a mobile broadband antennae. The AUO screen is available for all configs but usually most or all systems with the A/V package have the AUO screen.

I found out I have the Toshiba LCD58E. I have a 700M with the AUO. I love this notebook, but this screen has very very bad viewing angles. The AUO on my 700M is far better. I read on other forums that if you have the AV package you get the AOU. I don't think there is any way to get the AOU?????

3 months ago what was stated above was true about the A/V Pack getting the AUO screen. This is NO LONGER true, almost all M1210s with or without the A/V pack post-november are now coming with the Toshiba LCD58E, if you are lucky you might still get the AUO screen...

So the AUO screen is the best screen for this NB? The Toshiba screen sucks? I always thought Toshiba had some of the best screens. My 1210 came in early December. Got the AUO. Guess I was lucky.
