LED backlight worth it on the m1330?

Im buying an m1330 from Dell Mexico and, well, i never really considered the LED backlighting as its 150 dlls, and thats a bit too steep in my opinion.

But i reconsidered maybe it was a nice investment, but i want to know if its really worth it.

Does it look much better? Is the battery difference significant? (ill be ordering the 6-cell cause the 9-cell sticking out is a deal killer for me) weight difference?

I mean, overall, is it worth it? will it future-proof it more? because i plan on keeping it for a long long time.

I appreciate any nice quick responses as im planning on ordering it asap, today if possible.

 

I don't think anybody's got a M1330 yet, so can anyone really say for sure? But I ordered because, from what I've read, it's way better on the battery, way brighter, and way more thin and light. Also, the fact that it is in high, high demand has got to say something!

 

The biggest selling point of the 1330 is the LED backlight. If you aren't going to get it, then you mind as well get the 1420 for a lot cheaper. This is just my opinion of course.

The LED will get you better battery life, a WAY brighter screen, and a thinner notebook all round. It's worth the small amount of money to upgrade.

 

I think it is worth the cost looking at the aesthetics alone. It makes it considerably thinner, and even improves the design as it has more of a squared edge look. The normal LCD gets rounded at the top.

More and more notebooks in the future will be LED backlit, so this will normalize it for the long run.

yah.. LED is new technology and for 150$, it's definitely worth upgrading!

 

Absolutely get the LED backlighting. My MacBook Pro uses LED backlighting and let me tell you that it is quite bright and crisp to look at.

The battery savings are awesome too.

 

I also agree. LED Backlight was one of my requirements when looking for a new system.

 

It's a must have for the M1330.... we'll see a lot more manufacturers go LED in the next year.. you don't want to be left behind..

I have a life, it's just that work is boring.... so debating English vs. US Dates, and lid color is lot more interesting than my job.
