LG build quality > Dell build quality any day.
But no optical drive, that kills it for me. -

No contest... Dell is always better than a LG.

RIP Dell M1330
Hopefully dell starts dropping their prices or make an XPS M1337 Model -
...
Both. Equally. -
very impressive indeed. but i'll be realistic here:
i'm sorry but those straight lines dont do much for me - quite frankly its quite an eyesore that reminds me of the commendable ultraportalbe sony tx/tz series. didnt someone mentioned that it is THICKER?
at regarding the weight and size - there is no way of the unit having a decent battery life. even i'm annoyed with the 2.5+ hour life mine gets under normal use. certainly in my view, the thermal envelope will be too dangerous to be considered acceptable running a 8600 under load when using the battery unless the p300 has a decent cooling solution.
lastly the lack of an optical drive does remind me of the macbook air, while that notebook has a different spec - it is impressive in its own right redefining the idea of ultraportable 13" notebooks. when was the last time you saw a straight edge on the macbook air let alone any other apple product? -

How can this even be a "fair" comparison when the LG doesn't even have a DVD drive?
Compare it with an apple or something... the XPS 1330 is much better than the LG.
I would NEVER consider a notebook that doesn't have a dvd drive.
BTW, this should help settle which is better... at 8:30am pacific time, there was 388 viewing the dell site here while only 21 was viewing the LG site LOL! -
Does it have the cpu whine? If it doesn't, then LG > m1330.

Touché.................

LG P300 is much better than a cheap XPS m1330. I already had a M1330 and trust me.... Very solid construction. The best keyboard on notebook (beter than lenovo)... And it's a power laptop in a 13,3".
The best notebook I never see.... I see and try severals notebook in my life...
Good luck! -
Whats the battery life of the P300 watching a movie at full screen brightness?

o no. the attack of fan boyS

i dont know if somebody posted this already but this one is only sale at Futureshop for $1699... supposed to save $300.. btw i saw it and looks sleek and cool... but i havent seen any m1330 so i cant compare
im also debating wether on getting this or the m1330 -
the m1330 only looks good online.. in person .
personally saying this; it looks cheap. -
well based on pictures the m1330 got more of gamerish look while the p300 got a sleeker business look... maybe ill got to Futureshop and take a pic and post it here..

Hi, if people are in Canada they can see the LG at FS and the 1330 at Staples. I can see the appeal of the LG and it does not cost too much more than a similarly rigged 1330. However, I don't need or want several things such as a larger harddrive and wwan (just to give two examples) that I can configure on the Dell and have no choice but to pay for with the LG. When I take into account the things that I don't want/need, the price difference becomes quite big ($500). I guess that is the main advantage of Dell's system; you get to customize to a certain extent and therefore cut down on your costs.
LG XNOTE P300 - M1330's fiercest rival?
