Hello,
I reviewed this thread which discusses the Dell Part numbers for different LCD screens:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=238640&highlight=lcd+part+number
I would like to install a LG WSXGA+ screen in my Dell laptop, but only the Dell part number is listed. I was hoping to get the actual LG part number, so I could shop around and hopefully get a better price. (And to be sure exactly what I am getting.)
The thread above lists these as the choices:
LG Philips LPLF300 - Dell P/N: XK309
LG Philips LPL010F - Dell P/N: DW306
Unfortunately the 'LP...' part numbers are not complete. Is there a way to find out exactly what I need to order? Perhaps there is a chart that lists all the options?
I found going to the LG site ( http://www.lgdisplay.com) pretty frustrating. One would expect that the above part numbers would be somewhere on the site, but both a manual and Google search shows that to be wrong. Ah well.
I should add that I would like a matte screen. I think some of the codes on the end will specify that.
Thanks in advance to anyone with helpful information!

Your easiest way of obtaining a XK309 or DW306 is to contact Dell Parts. They will gladly ship you one for whatever the cost is. And you get 90 days warranty from them. Last time I checked it was around $280 CDN.
I know those panels can be found on ebay at times but purchasing from ebay can be full of surprises... -
Well, Dell only sells the XK309 these days, which has a glossy screen (I am looking for a matte screen) and they want $349 for it.
I would much rather get a matte screen, and I believe I can get a better price.
