Happy New Year! A while back, I posted in griany screen stated that my AUO screen was good and no grain. However, lately, I noticed my screen has hard time wake up from sleep. It takes a while for it to reach it's full brightness. So, I have it replaced. My new screen is so much better now and it has model: LPL00e9. Anyone know what's this screen? I have never heard it.

You, my friend have a LG Philips WXGA+ screen. And so do I.

I petitioned Dell for a new screen because my SEC4457 screen had severe light leakage issues. But it had NOOO grain.

The LG Philips however, is slightly grainy - I don't think it's too bad though.

Also the LG screen has MUCH better viewing angles, on the horizontal that is. Vertical is about the same.

I've never had to witness an AUO screen, so I can't comment on it. but I think i'm fairly happy with the LPL00E9 screen.

    UPDATE:

After using the screen for a while, I noticed that the right side of the screen exhibits a slightly yellowish tint - only noticable on whites.

    Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....

i also ran across and LG LPL for the WXGA+ 14.1"

I picked the SEC one because it looks better. It's much less grain, viewing angles are the same for both....and colors actually look more vivid and alive on the SEC.

I was very disappointed with the LG screen.
