    i have this wireless card in my studio 15:

    Dell Wireless 1510 Half Mini-Card

    forgive me for asking such a noobie question.... but... through this magic card i will be able to connect with my friends' laptops and have some LAN gaming party like Counter Strike right?

    Yes you would need either a wireless or wired router.

    Yeah, though typically you don't use ad-hoc and use a wireless router which works best.
