Is it normal for Dell Keyboards to go bad all the time?

I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 the keyboard was replaced once in 2002 and it's acting up once again so it needs to be replaced again...

Some Dell models have had issues with their keyboards. For instance, some owners of the Inspiron 8600 (mine included) have had keyboard issues.
