I think it's possessed. Most of the time, it works fine. Just yesterday though, I went to power it on and nothing happened. Blank screen. Just the Power light glowed. I could hear the fan going, so I was sure it wasn't completely busted. Tried to Power On/Power Off a couple more times. Nada.

Later that day, gave it another try and it powered up normally.

Than this morning, it gave me the blank screen of death.

    Now, couple hours later...its fine.

I cannot afford to not have my laptop not work in the middle of class.

    Any recommendations?

Thankfully, it's still under warranty. Got it during the summer.

Ugh. If they do send me a new one, think I have to go through the trouble of reformatting that HardDrive or could I just replace it with this hard drive?

I'm pretty familiar with installing hardware on a desktop. Clueless about laptops though.

Depends on what they replace. If it is the MB, then no, you won't have to format. If it turns out to be the HDD, then you'll have to get a new HDD and format.

I'm going to have to wait and hope this is only a one time problem.

Can't afford to mail my laptop into them right now, with school and all.

I'll still have the warranty around the holidays.

Watch this thing combust by then.
