    I bought a new Dell d630 laptop... how important is the laptop cooler for it?

    some one may say that too hot may distory the main board and other aspect.
    But I think the most important is you fell well when you use a too hot notebook.too hot make us fell dry.
    It will not hurt the notebook,and you can take it easy。

    Install an application like Notebook hardware Control (free) to monitor your CPU and HDD temps. If the temps never get too hot you may not need it. I think many people who use play games and some OC that creates more heat. Dell does not think you need one so kind of a personal choice.

    Laptop coolers are more for the extremer laptops, especially if you have a powerhungry GPU. The D630 is not in the risk zone, IMO.
