My new 6000 is set to go on standby when the screen is folded down. But if it stays in this "mode" too long...when I come back and open the lid/screen...it won't start back up.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Try keeping it plugged in and seeing what happens. My guess is that your battery is dead by the time you open it.

Sounds like you need to hibernate not go on standby when you close the lid. This is what I do.

This happens when it is plugged in....not a battery issue.

I think it is a common problem with Dell laptops. My old 3500 had that problem. Go to power management settings and change the settings.

check Dells website, i believe there is a BIOS update that fixes this problem. I know there was a update for the I9200 that solved this problem.
