I just ordered a Latitude E6400 from the outlet but I won't be able to open it for another month. Is it ok to leave the laptop inside the box for that long?

    Thanks.

There isn't a problem with leaving it in the box for a month... but you only have three weeks to return the machine if there's a serious problem, so you should find a way to take it for a spin before those three weeks are up...

Thanks for the reply. I guess I would have to rely on the warranty and my luck if it turns bad. I was just curious because I have never let any of my computers stay off that long. I've even read somewhere that the battery has to be removed.

Its fine. We have had computers at our shop sit for years before opened. I'm sure the dell outlet has many computers just sitting there not being able to be sold too.
