I got a replacement system and i returned my laptop by sticking the return reciept and using the same box that shipped my new replacement. When i dropped off i even got a reciept from fedex. Also i see that they got the system too (FedEx tracking information). But i am yet waiting for a mail from dell indicating that they processed the return. I see that now when i search for old service code, it doesnt show information, and it says that the system is purchased outside US. Also the warranty from my old system has been copied to my new system.

How do i know that they got my return and they processed it .. should i get a mail or is it ok ????

They wont contact you unless there is an issue. Just hold on to the fedex tracking number to validate the system was returned.
