So, I get four emails yesterday about a promotion at Dell Outlet, for 15% off any Inspiron, XPS, or Dimension system. Great!
The problem is, there aren't any notebooks in their inventory! I've been checking off and on, and early yesterday morning and this morning, there has just been a spattering of notebooks. Yesterday, they were mostly last-generation models (M170's, 700m, etc.).
Right now, there are NO notebooks, AT ALL, in the Dell outlet.
Think maybe they made a mistake releasing that coupon, and are holding back any decent systems?
Bummer.

Either that or people are picking them up faster than they could be posted. Try constantly refreshing the page.
-
or a more likely scenario is that because they released the coupon, many people are buying systems, and their inventory is being depleated as quickly as it is being put up. Try calling in. I know they have found stuff not on the site when i call in.
I'm still waiting for my M1710 that i ordered from the outlet last week. UPS says it will be here tomorow :-D -
the problem is that there are a bunch of jerks out there who put as many systems as they can into their carts. this keeps them from public view. they do this so they can pick and choose what system they want without having to worry about someone else grabbing a good deal while they are searching.

Just update constantly and eventually you will see items. Don't expect to see more than 3 at a given time during this promotion
I nabbed a Dell XPS M1710 yesterday and it suits me perfect, except bluetooth and the GFX card is a 7900GTX not a 7950GTX.
But when there are coupons involved, it really does come down to who can click the quickest -
How much did you pay for that laptop? Was it really a good deal, cause I don't know if you can really believe in the outlet Stuff.

Try calling DELL outlet 800 number, I had to do that last time cause EVERYTIME I added a perfect system to my cart I couldn't check it out, it kept giving me error messages till it showed a stupid message " nothing in your cart " so I called DELL outlet, the first time it was a nightmare hanged up and called again, I spoke to a really nice rep and he helped me get the system in my sig for $1150 ( with 1 gb memory 667MHz and 120GB) and free 3 year warrenty -

I guess it's up to you to decide whether this would have been a good deal or not for you.
For me, this was a great deal, the same specs configured at dell.com was $3600ish (although the GFX card was a 7950GTX), and this is before tax. After tax it becomes around $3900.
So saving around $1500 (omitted $170 for GFX card difference), was an awesome deal for me.
And from the nice reviews given here, I was willing to take the risk of a refurb for the deal. -
Well, the way I see it. Dell's retail prices are way overpriced for what you get, so I usually don't compare outlet prices to brand new ones when shopping @ the outlet store.

Dell outlet can be a pain. But if your patient and wait and check almost constantly, keep refreshing the page you’re bound to find a killer deal. I was also looking for an M1210 from dell outlet and had a 15% off coupon. Never found anything that suited my needs. There were hardly any options either.
-
I JUST ordered a dell laptop from the outlet. Can someone PLEASE post a new coupon code? The one I have appears to have expired yesterday.
Thank you soooooooo much in advanced. -
There is no coupon. I ended up doing the same thing the last time they put one out just a few weeks ago.

Patience is always needed to buy a Dell at a great deal.
