What are the latest drivers for the XPS Gen 2 Go 6800 Ultra?
Also I Have Windows Media Center Edition, how come the drivers on Nvidia site for XPME are one version behind XP/2000? And where do the Dell drivers fall? I ask not because of graphics issues or artifacts but because my City of Hero's now tells me I may be using older drivers, wich means they mayhave made the game look even more kick @ss than it already does. Also what is the optimum COH config for 1920X1200? Latest patch has AA options and other settings right inthe game interface!! If you are not on COH, and you have an XPS Gen 2 and broadband check out this MMORPG. Also anyone make any good COH sheild inserts?
Comes with COV,Guild Wars (what I use now) and CSI.

Go to Dell's support site and download the latest drivers. Currently, the latest driver is 80.40 but it requires you to edit a .inf file which I don't know how to do as I am too lazy. Use the Dell drivers and you should be fine, just make sure that you uninstall your current drivers (check the Add/Remove programs section under the control panel). The reason the XPME drivers are older is because those are the drivers for Windows XP and Windows Me, don't use them. Though you have Windows XP Media Center, ANY Windows XP driver will work.

Do not download the drivers from Nvidia as they won't work because they are designed for desktops running Nvidia graphics cards, hence, why you need to modify the .inf file. Stick with Dell's latest drivers and you will be fine.

I have not played COH and don't know what it is. If it is a MMORPG then I already know I hate it. Sorry but I am not a RPG fan, I am more into Couter Strike: Source (Half-Life 2 version). Good luck with downloading and installing the latest drivers from Dell.

Yes usually. With games like City of Hero's, they are constantly patching and updating and tweaking. And the "issues" are major storyline /expanmsions. The newer video drivers run faster, take advantage of features in the card, generally all kinds of goodness.
Generaly if you are not having a problem don't fix it, but I posted this because my game noted that the drivers I am using may be old drivers and toi check for updates. With Issue 5 of City of Hero's (each issue is like a comic book, adding story, new areas or more customisation of your hero, ie size sliders for body hight, build etc.. The latest added 2 new poer types to the various arch types, as well as support in game for AA and texture smoothing etc. I also asked the best settings for 1920x1200 as I have heard that at those rez's AA is not nessacery. The Game looks Great, runs great, but could possibly look / run even better.
