I have a Latitude D420 now with the 1.2ghz Core Duo ULV processor (not Core2)

It makes a strange noise when I turn the wifi off, I suppose it's best described as a whine but it's not really. Doesn't go away unless I turn the wifi back on.

Anyone got any ideas what's up here?

OK - it's coming from the bluetooth card, definitely (the hardware switch turns both on/off by default but I can turn them on selectively too)

What's the impact on battery like when running bluetooth all of the time? (if I can't find a solution to this problem)
