good evening - Just got a Latitude D430 with 64GB SSD drive and I am trying to install Vista from the external DVD drive and I get partially into it and is says the machine does not have a driver for the DVD drive - this is after the machine boots from the DVD drive - any hints? THanks in advance.

My first guess would be try it again, but It might be the external bridge board is a little funky with vista, and doesn't work 100%. I'd see if a friend has a different external you can borrow.

Did ejecting/replacing the DVD not help?

Spock - you are exactly correct - it worked perfectly the 3rd time - not sure what was wrong but everything worked fine and I am now on Vista. OK - thanks!
