I just got this new laptop for college. It's pretty sweet. But the Fn + the numpad keys are not working. The rest of the function combinations work, like the LCD brightness and the battery meter, but the numpad isn't working.

    Any solutions?

Off the top of my head I figure you could download new drivers. Mine works fine, except in this forum it sends me to the previous page[ :(].

OH! Try turning numlock on and off.

Well, I went into the BIOS and saw whether or not the numlock was enabled. It was, and I didn't touch anything!

Now I can use the numpad with the funcion key! The problem sorta fixed itself I guess [|)]

You don't have to go into the bios to do that. On my 8600, there are three lights next to the power button. From left to right they are: num lock, caps lock, and scroll lock. Just make sure the left light is on. There should be a button dedicated to num lock.
