I have a latitude D610 with the intel GMA900 graphics, 1GB system RAM. I have been trying to find out for the past week if this graphics will support 1680x1050 resolution on the Dell 2005FPW widescreen LCD.

I've had conflicting info form the web. The intel site implies that it will, the D610 documentation says it will only support external mons up to 1600x1200, and even Dell's monitor website has suggested that it will, but does not specifically state that it will support hte D610.

Tech support is not much help either...I think I know more about this then they do.

Anyone with experience with the GMA900 graphics and 2005FPW screen on the D610??

    thanks,

Not sure if it takes your desired resolution, but I know it takes 1280x1024 just fine. I have a D610 and run a 19 inch flat panel off it. Everything looks great.

I will only support 1600x1200 out, so I'm not sure how well it will work. It probably will, just at a lower, and less crisp, resolution.
