Hi all
I just ordered a new latitude D610 (2ghz, 1GBRAM, 60Gb 5400 HD, 64Mb Ati X300, 14" SXGA screen)
This is primarily for day to day office use (Office, Adobe suite and some CAD possibly some 3D) but on the off chance I get a spare min I was wondering if anyone knows how it would handle (if at all) Battle Field 2 ? this is the only game I have an interest in so future games don't bother me but has anyone tried BF2 on this machine ?
I can live with 800*600 and lowish settings.
thanks for any feedback

That notebook is not designed for gaming, as I am sure you probably know. . .
However, as basic as the 64MB X300 is, you should still be able to play games at lower settings and resolution. Technically, BattleField 2 requires a 128MB GPU, but I have run it on 64MB cards before without a problem. 800x600 seems reasonable.
In order to get the best performance, I recommend downloading and installing the latest Catalyst Mobility 5.13 drivers when you get the notebook. Much improved over the stock Dell ones. -
cheers Chazman for the reply. should be ok so, now all I have to do is wait ........
thanks again
