I have had my latitude d620 for about a year and a half, and the battery is dead. It lasts for maybe 25 minutes now. So i was looking at dells website for the replacement battery. This is the battery i have already http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...s&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=312-0386&mfgpid=167699

But everyone says they go out after about a year. which mine did. So i dont wanna waste 200 bucks a year on batteries. So is there any other alternatives to that will last longer or be cheaper.

You can get Dell batteries for less on eBay.

You may find some local firms who can replace the cells inside your battery, it's cheaper and sometime they give you better cells than before.
For example, my XPS M1210 can buy dell's 9cell battery for about 80USD here but cell replacement only costs me 35 USD. But i don't recommend that until you can't find an genuine battery anywhere else.
    Ebay is a good idea...
