Is there some reason Dell isn't offering the Intel 4965AGN card as an option on the D630? I'm sure it was an option at one point.

Anyway, can someone tell me if all D630s ship with the 3 antennas and all necessary wiring for the 802.11N cards regardless of the card originally ordered?

I didn't know when I ordered mine, so I opted for the 1505 card on the hopes it had the 3 antennae wires for a future upgrade to an Intel "N" card.

I ordered my D630 in early august when they stilled offered the 4965. I have it and it has 3 antennas plugged into it. There are also two other non-connected antenna cables for a cellular WWAN card.

I'm betting the reason they don't offer the 4965 anymore is due to supply. But I imagine they still have the 3 antenna connectors in there (And they still offer the Dell-N card, right?)

You could call and ask. Or you could buy the card elsewhere and put install it yourself.

    Hello,

This is Richard from Dell's Online Community Outreach. The D630 can use the Intel 4965 802.11 (a/g/n) Mini Card, or the Dell 1505 802.11 a/b/g/n Mini Card.

Number 8 is the gray wire
which is the third wire for N wireless cards
