    Latitude E7450/E7440/E5450 FHD Screen options

    I have had the E7440 for a couple of years and loved it! I noticed it came with an AU Optronics B140HAN01.1 antiglare panel and it was GREAT! Even brightness and also a true antiglare.
    Then I got an E7450 and it has an AU Optronics B140HAN01.3 antiglare screen. While it was not as good as I think as the B140HAN01.1, it still was a true antiglare screen.

    Then it broke and Dell sent me another one. An LG compatible 1920x1080 compatible screen. While it is still an IPS panel, it is more of a glossy/partial matte screen. Yes it technically is an "antiglare" screen but it really isnt to me. When I have bright lights behind me, I can actually see the outlines of the lights. Compare that to the A Optronics screen, it just was a blur and I could not distringuish the light behind me as it was more matted.

    Now when I search online, no one sells this thing. Screencountry.com and others are all out of stock and have been for months. Dell cannot ship me that one as they said all AU Optronics screens have been discontinued. I looked on AU Optronics site and they removed ALL the B140han01 models and others and have emailed them countless number of time and get nothing in response.

    Is there anyone else out there who feels for me? I mean there has to be someone who has OCD like me and wants a true anti-glare screen and not this hybrid option that Dell has. Anything else compatible with this laptop?

    Feeling for ya - nothing beats a good Matte panel!

    Just give it another few months - there should be stock closer to autumn.
