Lattitude 110L Upgrade

My friend want to upgrade his CD-RW/DVD-Rom to a combo drive. Do you know if he would need IDE/EIDE/ATAPI ?

 

A CD-RW/DVD is a combo drive. Perhaps you mean a DVD burner? It is ide. I would suggest looking on eBay.

 

Make sure you can remove the drive before you upgrade it, and also verify that the benzel, or the piece of plastic on the front of the drive, is removable. That way you can swap it with the new drives' benzel so it will look flush with the notebook. It should be held on my three small plastic notches/clips if it is a standard drive (I believe it is).

I saw some 110L DVD burners on ebay for like $80 plus shipping. Then you could just swap the drives without worrying about the bezels.
