I just ordered a d830 with the minimal memory so I could add my own cheaper memory. Just found out that crucial (who I ususally get memory from) is out of the 2gig memory (4gig total). Any other sources for low cost reliable memory?

Also, if I buy the lexar ( Lexar 8GB ExpressCard SSD Flash Disk Model EX8GB-431) flash memory, how can I get vista to boot off this? do I need to install vista from scratch on to this drive? or will there be someway to make vista use that as a cache for booting.

    thanks

Check the RAM Deals thread for good RAM prices.

Also, you may not be able to boot off of that ExpressCard SSD drive...I don't know if the D830 BIOS support booting off of that slot.
