    Lattude C600 shuts down by itself

    I can boot my Latitude - but shortly after, it shuts down by itself. Where should I look for a solution? Thanks.

    Have you cleaned your Latitude's fan vents recently? Sounds like a heat issue.

    I thought it sounded like a heat issue also. Fan vent is clean. Are there any other vents I should look for?

    could it be the bios? need an update? I don't have a dell, yet, (comes today) but i know my toshiba would do that and i had to update the bios, and problem stopped.
