I am looking to buy a business laptop and I have come down to these two choices. Is there any reason as to why the Latitude would be worth purchasing over the T450s? Specs aside, the only thing making me lean towards a Dell is the price. I also feel that maybe the T450s is just a better machine? Any input is highly appreciated.

Upgradability, durability, parts availability, metal chassis as opposed to plastic.
The Dell gets you more for the money, while Thinkpads under Lenovo, they are just, not the same...

I have heard that the new Lenovos are lacking quality, but I heard past ones, like the T450s, are top quality machines.

I noticed in your signature you have the e7470 i7, so I have to ask a few questions. What kind of battery are you using? 55wh or 48wh? How long does your battery last while using wifi? and have you had any keyboard issues like sticky keys, unresponsive keys etc.

I tried the one of the 7000 series latitudes at a local store, and they keyboard is all what is holding me back from purchasing the laptop.

Don't get me wrong, the T450s is a great machine, but calling it "top quality" is a bit of a stretch.

I have the 55Whr long life battery, i get anywhere from 6-8 hours of surfing on 5/8 brightness (I don't like super bright screens). No sticky keys or unresponsive keys, solid, good tactile feel.

You also said a 7000 series keyboard, the 7450 and the 7470 have slightly different keyboards. The 7450 is a bit more mushy and flexy, the 7470 is not.

I lied about the trying the 7000 series keyboard, it was actually one of the 5000 series ones, but I just assumed that 5k and 7k series had the same parts etc. I would really like to try the 7470s keys, will try to if they sell it anywhere near me. Anyways, thanks so much for your feed back. Now I just have to make my decision!

    Thanks!
