Well, I know the early ETA for a M1330 in the US is something like July. 30th, but Dell sometimes overestimate the date, which I think everyone here rather believe that. So, what's the earliest date do you think it can get shipped? :)

this pure exercise in futility. XPS 1330 has been added to Dell lineup only a few days ago, why do you expect Dell to ramp up production so quick? I'm pretty sure actual ship dates will be closer to the estimated ones than not.

I think due to it being a new system and shortage of certain parts, the actual shipping date would be closer to the estimate than not.

I ordered a 300m a couple of years ago when it first came out, and it took around 2 weeks also, and did not arrive early.

I placed an order for an XPS1330 today at work.

    T7500
    LED screen
    9-cell batt

Delivery date is listed as being on or before the 24th July. Our account rep said it would most likely be next week.

Dell reps will say whatever they think will get you off the phone with the least complaining about ship date, rarely do the know anything about actual ship times. I know because I myself do it on a daily basis.

Your right...delivery with the tuner would have to be Sep or at least October since there is a 45 day delay on them.

That may be false hope - one guy from New Zealand was slated to get his somewhere around the 20th of July, according to his ship estimate; however they recently updated that to something like early/mid-August. The initial estimated ship dates may be optimistic for the ones in the UK/Asia/Oceania that have been getting earlier estimated ship dates than North America.

    We'll know for sure soon.

I was told by a Rep it will be 10-14 days until i receive my m1330. My estimated delivery date is August 27... so it seem quite possible for Dell to ship the laptops in August.

Mine has been in build since the day I ordered it at the Kiosk. Order tracking is still telling me July 18th, which means the day after tomorrow. I've emailed Dell asking if this is correct, and they're telling me that my order appears to be on track for either that date, or tomorrow.

Will know soon enough. If it does turn up... rest assured, I'll rub it in big time.

No, I'm not a US customer, I'm an Australian customer. I emailed them, telling them that I was planning to take a day off work on the day the laptop is delivered, so I can wipe the hard disk, get linux on it, and copy my data over from my old laptop before the next workday. I said I needed to plan which day to take off work, so I need to know with accuracy when it will arrive.

She said, "Your order is on schedule to be delivered on the date provided by the order tracking system, we will let you know if there is any delay, in advance".

    My config:
    T7500 2.2Ghz
    2GB ram
    9 Cell battery
    LED screen
    Fingerprint reader
    8400GS
    160GB 5400rpm hard disk

ordered on July 4th (its not independence day in Australia, its just another boring wednesday).

So... It still says delivery July 18th. If it doesn't arrive on July 18th, I can guarantee you that the little Malaysian lady on the other end of the phone line will have her English vocabulary extended by many, many four letter words. And I don't care if its not her fault, I'll still do it, to make me feel better.

That said, its a mad laptop, and I'm stoked with the specs. So many people are comparing it to 15.4" gaming machines saying why would you buy it etc... They don't get it. This thing is an absolute leviathan of a laptop, packed into a thin, sleek, magnesium/aluminium case, that weighs 4 pounds.

In the time between my last post and now, Dell has revised my shipping date to July 23rd.

As I type this, the right hand screen hinge on my Dell C400 is hanging in mid air, having snapped months ago, the fan is blowing a gale, and the touchpad left click button is sticking, causing things to be selected as I scroll down this webpage.

Words cannot express my dissatisfaction with this situation. I'm this close to heading to the Dell Kiosk and beating the salesman to death with a one hinged Latitude C400, before smashing his stand with the port replicator.

To make things worse, my girlfriend won't stop telling me how fast they delivered her Macbook, and how wonderful it is. She's about to die too.

Although you're absolutely pissed, I'd suggest you attempt to use diplomacy before resorting to destruction or persons and/or property. :p Tell them that the delay in shipping won't be accepted - at least try to get some concessions.

What kind of concessions can one really get? For example, a Dell rep INSISTED that my M1330 will be at my door by this Thursday at the latest, which is clearly false. I plan to call them up and at least demand next day shipping once they finally do ship it (especially since the estimated ship date is dangerously close to when I'm moving to another province) but I would hardly think they'd give me anything else, given that they could just cancel my order and give my laptop to all the other waiting customers... lol.

If this Dell C400 hit you in the head, the entire thing would disintegrate in impact into fragments of the cheapest plastic on earth, no bigger than a sliver of glass.

The port replicater though, is bolted to a monitor stand, which is made of 3mm stainless steel, and weighs about 8 pounds. You could rob a bank with a Dell port replicator.
