    Hey,

I have an Inspiron 6400, running great since 8 month or so.
But now when I close the lid and re-open it the screen stays black.
The computer doesn't even go in Standby (blinking green led)... the wi-fi stays on and the normal activity continue but black screen... I have to shutdown and start the laptop to have the image back. I checked the power profiles and everything seems normal... i doubt it's broken probly a stupid thing somewhere.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    Fix:

    Upgrade to Vista ;)

That's really the only thing I believe that works, I think it's something to do with XP that has no known fix - just disappears on Vista...

    Fn + F8 (CRT/LCD)

Cycle throught the modes and you'll get your screen back.

I got my 1520 yesterday, same issue. Coming out of sleep mode seems busted. Standby works fine.
