Well, the laptop is about 7 weeks old and light bleeding has started to creep on the bottom of the screen. Gotten pretty bad in the last 2 weeks. I emailed Dell yesterday about it and I just got a response stating they are sending me a replacement LCD. If it goes smooth I'll give them kudos since I have the basic warranty on this sucker, Will be fun opening the laptop to swap that sucker out.
Anybody else done this yet? Any pointers?

Removing the display? It is fairly easy. All you really have to do is remove a bunch of screws. You'll use your orginial bezel and lid, so you have to remove all of that and then switch it over to the new display.
You need directions, here is the link:

I dont know if I can. It is basically if you have a black screen for example, the edges (bottom ni my case will be a lot lighter, sicne a lot of the backlight will bleed through. It's very anoying after a while.
BTW, Dell emailed me first saying they would send a replacement LCD, then a different guy emailed me saying he was sending a box to send the laptop in. I explained to him that I couldnt send it in sicne I am now working on it and depending on it, and I had the tools to replace the screen myself, and they didnt quibble and sent me the LCD screen overnight. Have it now, gonna swap it out as soon as I print the guide.
