    Light leakage on the new 1520?

    Are you guys worried about light leakage on the lcd panel in your new 1520. I know the 21" widescreen flat panel for my desktop has light leakage on the top and that was after returning 4 of the screens because of this issue.

    same here ,I'd like to ask the same question regarding with the light leakage.What's the level of light leakage for 1520 ? I am worry about it whether to choose an anti-glare/matte or glossy screen.

    Well since multiple hardware vendors produce the screens that Dell puts in the systems, its very hard to get a solid answer.

    As ocellaris said, light leakage will vary in most all Dell notebooks (except perhaps the XPS M1330 w/ the LED display, which has virtually none). On average, however, light leakage should be minimal to moderate on most notebooks.

    I think there are two different LCDs being used in the 1520, one from Samsung and one from LG. Apparently the LG one is better, and the Samsung one (256k colors) is the source of most of the problems. That's just what I've been reading, however.
